The article says that, in an attempt to overcome the prospect of losing a direct line to prospective customers, marketers are planning “to flood mailboxes and computers with an avalanche of solicitations” and will also make consumers who call companies on other business have to “navigate an earful of annoying sales pitches.” Sounds like we’re in for a never-ending battle that just can’t be won. . .
